As a Certified Public Accountant, Sheldon has more than 40 years of experience in the field.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 1956 and a Master of Science & Taxation from Florida International University in 2001. He is a licensed certified public accountant in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

For a number of years, Sheldon had his own certified public accounting firm. In 1992, he joined one of the countrys largest accounting practices, Cleveland-baed Laventhal & Horwath. There he co-authored a practice manual for the firm and trained other accountants. When the firm disbanded in 1990, Sheldon agained opened his own firm.

Sheldon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
